No. It produces a planning range based on typical residential cabinetry variables. A quote requires a field measure, a specific cabinet schedule and confirmed selections. Use this to set expectations and compare options, not to commit a budget.

How does kitchen layout affect the estimate?

Accepted Answer

Layout changes how many cabinets a given run needs and how much fitting work the installation takes. Straight and galley kitchens are the most efficient. Corners in L-shape and U-shape rooms add blind or specialty cabinets. An island adds a separate run with finished backs, and a large multi-zone kitchen adds both cabinets and installation time.

What is included in the estimated range?

Cabinetry, doors and fronts, finishes, standard hardware, the storage level you selected and installation. It excludes countertops, appliances, plumbing, electrical, flooring, tile, drywall, painting and permits.

How do I estimate my linear footage?

Measure the horizontal run of wall where cabinets will go, in feet, and add the length of any island run. Do not count doorways, windows or open wall. A typical residential kitchen falls somewhere between roughly twelve and thirty feet.

Why is the result shown as a range rather than a number?

Because two kitchens with identical inputs can still differ by the specific cabinets in the schedule, site conditions and product availability. A range is the honest output of planning-level information.

Which input changes the number the most?

Accepted Answer

Construction level, followed by linear footage. Layout, door style, finish and storage adjust the figure meaningfully but proportionally; the construction level sets the baseline the rest multiplies against.

Should I include the island in linear footage?

Accepted Answer

Include the island's cabinet run in your footage if you want it counted there, or leave it out and use the island selector instead. Do not do both, or the island will be counted twice.

What if my project involves moving plumbing or walls?

Accepted Answer

Those costs sit outside cabinetry entirely and are not reflected here. Layout changes involving plumbing, electrical or structure need their own budget line and often a permit.
